Rockelo1. Who provides Rockelo
Rockelo is provided by Ads Station Ltd, 152, Office 9, Triq In Naxxar, San Gwann, SGN 9030, Malta (“Ads Station”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Contact: support@rockelo.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. You may not use Rockelo where prohibited by law.
3. The Rockelo service
Rockelo can analyse a photo of a rock, mineral, crystal or gemstone; suggest a likely identification; display educational information; provide an indicative value estimate when available; and allow you to save discoveries to a personal collection.
Features may vary by platform, country, app version and subscription. We may update, improve, suspend or discontinue parts of the service where reasonably necessary.
4. Identification and valuation limits
Identifications are suggestions
Rockelo relies on automated image analysis. Results may be incomplete, inaccurate or misleading because different specimens can look similar and a photograph cannot capture all diagnostic properties. Rockelo does not replace laboratory testing or advice from a qualified geologist, gemologist or other professional.
Values are estimates only
Any value or range shown in Rockelo is a general, photo-based estimate, not an appraisal, offer, guarantee or recommendation to buy, sell or insure an item. Actual value may differ materially based on authenticity, treatment, size, weight, colour, clarity, condition, origin, provenance, certification, local market and other factors.
You are responsible for independently verifying a specimen and its value before making financial, collecting, safety or legal decisions.
5. Free and premium access
Rockelo offers free functionality and optional premium access. Premium may be offered as a weekly or annual auto-renewing subscription. The price, trial terms (if any), billing period and included features are displayed in the app before purchase.
Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account, and subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled within the timeframe shown by that store. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple or Google account settings.
Billing issues, cancellations and refunds are subject to the rules of the store through which you subscribed. To the extent store terms conflict with this section, the applicable store terms govern the transaction.
Where Rockelo is downloaded through Apple, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
6. Your photos and content
You retain your rights in photos, notes and other content you submit. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transmit, process and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve Rockelo and fulfil legal obligations.
You must have the right to submit the content and must not upload unlawful, infringing, harmful or privacy-invasive material. Do not include faces, documents, location details or other personal information that is unnecessary for stone identification.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use Rockelo in violation of law or third-party rights;
- interfere with, overload, probe or attempt to bypass service security;
- reverse engineer, scrape, resell or exploit the service except where law expressly permits;
- use automated means to access the service without our permission;
- upload malicious code or content; or
- misrepresent Rockelo results as certified professional findings.
We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, users or third parties, or where these Terms are materially breached.
8. Intellectual property
Rockelo, its software, design, text, graphics, databases, trademarks and other service content are owned by Ads Station Ltd or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use Rockelo for personal, lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms.
9. Third-party services
Rockelo may rely on or link to third-party services, including app stores, AI or cloud providers. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply. We do not control third-party availability or content.
10. Availability and warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rockelo is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that every identification, profile or estimate will be accurate or suitable for your purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ads Station Ltd and its affiliates, officers, employees, suppliers and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, collections or opportunities arising from use of Rockelo.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to Rockelo will not exceed the amount you paid for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms for future use of Rockelo. We will post the revised version and update the date above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice where required. If you do not agree to revised Terms, stop using Rockelo and cancel any subscription before its next renewal.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Malta have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law allows you to bring a claim in your country of residence or provides stronger protections. European consumers retain the mandatory rights available under the law of their habitual residence.
14. General provisions
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer our rights and obligations while respecting applicable law. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any store-specific terms, form the agreement concerning your use of Rockelo.
